Delivery, non-delivery and loss

Delivery must be to an address in Canada. Delivery will be made any time during the agreed delivery period. Where a delivery is attempted but not possible, the delivery staff will leave notification of attempted delivery and will make contact to re-arrange. A charge may apply where a return visit is required for delivery, however every attempt will be made to deliver without a need to re-charge. All deliveries must be signed for except for items sent by post and which are small enough to be put through your letterbox. There must be a person over 18 years of age to sign for each order. Any problem with goods noticed at time of delivery should be brought to the delivery staffs attention immediately. Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods. Delivery dates are approximate only and not of the essence of the contract. We do everything in our power to respect the delivery times indicated on our website. We cannot, however, be held responsible for the consequences of a late delivery or the loss of a package caused by a third-party contracted to make delivery or by force majeure. By force majeure is meant all events or circumstances beyond the control of Kawartha Vacuum Inc which by their nature could not reasonably have been foreseen by Kawartha Vacuum Inc or, if they could reasonably have been foreseen, are unavoidable or beyond the reasonable control of Kawartha Vacuum Inc, and which prevent or hinder the total or partial performance of any obligation under this contract. In the event where you do not receive your package in the indicated time frame, an investigation will be conducted with the carrier and may take several days upon receipt of your claim. We must be notified in writing of the non-receipt of any goods by you within 21 working days of the invoice date, failing which we shall be under no liability whatsoever to you, who shall nevertheless hold Kawartha Vacuum Inc indemnified against any loss arising, or damage suffered, through failure to inform us within the required time limits.

Returns procedure and refunds

We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. Should you wish to return anything bought from us we will be happy to refund the product provided it is in fully re-saleable condition. Returns should be made within a reasonable time (14 Days) and in the original, undamaged packaging. Prior to return, a Return Merchandise Authorization should be obtained contact Shipping fees remain the customers responsibility. We request that you send us the merchandise by registered post and that you purchase insurance with the carrier for the value of the merchandise. This is necessary should they lose or damage the goods. Kawartha Vacuum Inc does not assume for in-transit damage or for packages that are not delivered to us. Lost and damaged products are not covered under product warranty. If the product is returned for refund, shipping and insurance charges are not refundable. If the item purchased was offered with free shipping, the original outbound shipping costs will be deducted from the refund. Please note: We will refund the price of the item to the purchaser or exchange the product once it is received by us. No refunds or exchanges are offered for individual items that are surplus to requirements or simply unwanted, e.g. components within an installation kit.
